Some families leave a lasting impression from the very first session, and this one has been a joy to photograph year after year. Mom and I first met in yoga classes when she was expecting her first child, and what started as a shared appreciation for movement and mindfulness has turned into three years of capturing their family’s most cherished moments.

This year, we went back to a beautiful beach park on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, a place that perfectly reflects their love of nature and togetherness. With Whitney’s expert eye for styling, every detail—from the soft, coordinated pink and brown tones to the warm textures—came together effortlessly. And this year was special because Grandma joined us again, making the experience even more meaningful.

Their two little ones, an energetic older brother and his sweet younger sister, brought their signature playfulness, running through the sand, dancing with mom and dad, and giggling as we played games while the sun dipped lower in the sky. But the most touching moment of the evening? As the last golden rays stretched across the horizon, they ended the session tossing around a little football—a gift from their recently passed grandpa. It was a simple yet profound way to honor his memory, and you could feel how much love and connection surrounded them in that moment.

This session wasn’t just about beautiful photos; it was about preserving a legacy of love, laughter, and family bonds that grow stronger each year. I am endlessly grateful to be the one to document these milestones and can’t wait to see what next year brings!
