A Wildflower Session Full of Joy
If you’re dreaming of family photos surrounded by wildflowers, this session at Wildly Native Flower Farm in Chestertown, Maryland might be exactly the kind of magic you’re looking for. This sweet family of three, plus their pup, met me for an evening of portraits, play, and connection. The flowers are beautiful there, and I met Liza who showed me around and offered me guidance on using the property!
We began with a few classic family portraits in the flower fields, letting the soft blooms frame their laughter and smiles. Then the energy shifted — and it was time to play.

Blanket Games & Blooming Joy
We pulled out one of my favorite playful tools — a big blanket in the surrounding open field — for giggles, movement, and those genuine moments of family connection that can’t be posed.

Their son ran, jumped, spun, and laughed — fully himself and soaking up every second. We found some dandelions and encouraged him to make a wish.

These are the moments I love capturing — not just the “smile and look here” shots (though we get those too!), but the real memories in motion. And at the end of the session, we moved to the gravel lane in front of the farmhouse, where dad and son raced side by side while mom looked on, her smile soft and full.
