A Storybook Picnic Session with The B Family
Some sessions feel like they were lifted from the pages of a favorite childhood storybook—and this one truly did. From the moment K called me and first mentioned wanting a cozy picnic for their family photos, I was smitten with the idea. And let me tell you, it translated into pure magic. We won’t talk about the fact that we did this session during a heat wave — Annapolis has been serving us some hot weather, but we found that the shade of a tree & a partly cloudy day made this mid-day family picnic session a little more bearable!!

Surrounded by the intense spring/summer green, with their little one nestled between books, berries, and giggles, this family shared the kind of connection that’s effortless to photograph. Every little detail—from the vintage coupe glasses to the thoughtfully chosen snacks and “The Hobbit” tucked beside them—felt meaningful and beautifully them.

This wasn’t just a photo session. It was a memory, fully lived. One filled with barefoot moments, kisses between sips, and the curiosity of an almost-one-year-old.

I’m so grateful to be invited back by returning clients like these, who trust me to freeze-frame the magic that already exists in their lives.
Here’s to more barefoot picnics, belly laughs, and slow summer mornings with the ones you love most. I am dreaming up lots of ideas for fun summer sessions – reach out if you want a unique experience that is not a traditional portrait session…that’s my jam!
