When Rose of Bohemian Black reached out about photographing her Hello Spring fashion show, I was excited to say yes! As a local business photographer in Annapolis, I’m always drawn to creative entrepreneurs who build something with real intention — and Rose is exactly that kind of person.
The event took place on the evening of March 20th at Bohemian Black’s location in Annapolis Town Center, and it was everything a spring fashion show should be: styled, celebratory, and completely full of life.

The Space Was Already a Statement
If you’ve never been inside Bohemian Black, put it on your list. The store itself does a lot of the heavy lifting visually — dark walls, geometric giraffe art, lush greenery, warm wood floors. Rose transformed the retail floor into a proper runway with rows of black chairs, each one dressed with a swag bag waiting for guests. Before a single model stepped out, the room already felt like an event.

The Looks
Rose and her team styled a full lineup of looks for the show — and the range was the whole point. Guests saw everything from flowy wide-leg trousers and draped white sets to bold printed jumpsuits. We saw earth-tone maxi dresses and a denim moment that stopped the room. There were looks for women, looks for men, and — one of my favorite parts of the night — looks for little girls who walked that runway like they’d been doing it for years.
As you can see, Rose and her team accessorized every look intentionally. Statement bags, silk scarves, stacked jewelry — nothing was an afterthought. That’s Rose’s whole approach: thoughtfully curated, styled for real life, designed to make you feel something when you put it on.

Rose at the Mic
Rose emceed the entire evening herself, and honestly that might have been my favorite thing to photograph. She was magnetic — warm, funny, completely in her element. You could feel the relationship she has with her community just by watching the room respond to her. This wasn’t a polished corporate event. It was personal, it was joyful, and it was hers.

Why Every Annapolis Local Business Needs a Photographer at Their Events
Here’s the thing about a well-executed boutique event: it disappears the moment it’s over. The styled chairs, the runway models, the energy in the crowd, the girl who absolutely owned her look — all of it lives in someone’s phone camera roll or not at all, unless you have someone there specifically to capture it.
That’s where I come in. As a local business photographer in Annapolis, I work with small business owners and creatives who are building something worth documenting. Whether it’s a fashion show, a brand launch, or a pop-up — professional photography turns one evening into lasting content. Your website, your social, your press kit all get better when the images are intentional. I also recently launched social media support, which includes ready-to-post stories, and instagram reel content that you can use for promoting your events.
